Congratulations On Winning The World Series Boston, You Earned It!

redsoxxxWe would like to congratulate the Boston Red Sox for winning the World Series for the third time in the past decade. Although we’re a company that’s based in New York and would ordinarily be rooting for one of our home teams, alas both New York teams have had a pretty bad year so we decided to root for the better team. Hopefully the Yankees and Mets can come back better and stronger next year, but in the meantime we’ll let the Red Sox have their fun and enjoy their victory—they certainly deserved it after what the city’s been through this year. Boston Strong.

Authentic Roger Maris Photos: “61″ Lives On

roger maris photosBack in 1961, one of the most majestic events in the history of baseball was unfolding. It happened throughout the year, a journey that has been marked as one of the most unforgettable in sports. Back then, the all-time single season home run record was set by the New York Yankees’ Babe Ruth, a total of 60 back in 1927. No one touched that number until the 1961 season, when the tandem of Yankees’ outfielders Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris were going head-to-head in the home run race. Superstar Mantle was the favorite, but it was the player that patrolled the outfield grass in his shadow that eventually broke the record, hitting 61 home runs that broke the supposedly unbreakable record. Honoring the storied season of 1961, these Authentic Roger Maris Photos pays tribute to one of the most underrated yet intriguing players from not just the New York Yankees, but all of MLB. Any true baseball fan would treasure such a piece of sports history. Collectors gather!
